Erik Gunnar Asplund was born in Stockholm on 22 September 1885. He took his high school examination at Norra Latin in Stockholm in 1904. From 1905-1909 he studied architecture at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, where he also graduated as an architect in 1909. At that time you where not considered to be an architect without two years of further study at the Royal Academy of Art. >>
