Adolf Krischanitz was born 1946 in Schwarzach/Pongau in the Austrian federal province of Salzburg, the son of an electrical engineer and a housewife. His father worked for the Austrian Federal Railways on the construction of power stations and transformers. He had very good technical skills, and continued to climb the railway hierarchy. Due to his father's career the family often had to move from one place to another. >>
