Arne Korsmo was born in Oslo on 14 August 1900. His father, Emil Korsmo, was a professor of botany. His mother´s name was Aagot Jacobine Wiger. In 1926 Korsmo received his degree as an architect from the Norwegian University of Technology, School of Architecture, in Trondheim, after completing his basic training in civil engineering. From 1926-27, Korsmo worked at Bryn and Ellefsen´s architectural office, where he first came into contact with modernism in Europe, especially through the Weissenhofsiedlung in Stuttgart. > NEXT
